Olivia
Say hello to Olivia who began her hairdressing career as a Saturday girl when she was just 15 years old. She began her hairdressing apprenticeship with Stephen Young Salon when she was 16 and qualified in 2018. She loved the atmosphere and salon life and hasn’t looked back since.
In 2025 Olivia went on to train as an International Colour Genius with Davines.
Which hairstyle or colour do you love creating? My favourite part of the salon life is performing a colour change, I love the challenge of finding the right solution with multiple colouring techniques and the end WOW result
What do you love about being a hairdresser? What I love most about being a hairdresser is getting to know clients, helping them achieve their hair goals and of course the end result and transformation.
Who inspires you to create fabulous hair? My inspiration in life is my mum. I love her work ethic – she has always been very hard working and independent, which has inspired me to put everything into my work. Being able to treat her as a thank you for everything she’s done for me is the icing on the cake!
What is your ultimate ambition? My ultimate ambition would be to one day own and run my own successful salon.
How would you describe yourself in three words? Chatty, bubbly, dedicated.
Tell us something about yourself that might surprise others. Something that might surprise people about me would be that I have been a qualified stylist for over 7 years! But really! I have sang in the Royal Albert Hall and can play hot cross buns on a trumpet! But I’m still only in my early twenties so I’m sure there will be a lot more surprises to come.
